INTERNATIONAL ORDER SUPPORT
Support from quotation through shipment
Quotation
We establish material requirements, quantity, packaging, destination, and shipping considerations before the order is placed.
Packaging
Materials are packaged according to product requirements and applicable transportation rules for the selected shipping method.
Documentation
Required commercial and shipment documentation is prepared based on the material, destination, and terms of the order.
Shipment Coordination
We coordinate international freight with appropriate carriers and provide shipment information needed by the customer or their import representative.
EXPORT DOCUMENTATION
Documentation matched to the shipment
International shipments can require several forms of commercial, technical, and transportation documentation. The documents provided depend on the product, shipping method, destination country, and customer requirements.
Commercial Documents
Commercial invoices, packing information, shipment values, product descriptions, and other customary export documentation.
Product Documentation
Safety Data Sheets, Certificates of Analysis, and other agreed technical documentation associated with the material.
Dangerous Goods Documents
Where applicable, regulated shipments are prepared with the documentation, marking, labeling, and packaging required for the chosen mode of transport.
Additional Requirements
Customers should identify country specific documentation or import requirements when requesting a quotation so they can be reviewed before shipment.
DANGEROUS GOODS
Experience with regulated international shipments
Some specialty inorganic materials are regulated for transportation. Lorad personnel have experience preparing shipments in accordance with applicable United States Department of Transportation and International Air Transport Association requirements.
The appropriate shipping method is determined by the material classification, quantity, packaging configuration, destination, and carrier acceptance requirements.
HOW INTERNATIONAL ORDERS WORK
Send Your Requirements
Tell us the material, quantity, specification, destination country, and any known import or documentation requirements.
Review and Quote
We review material availability, production requirements, packaging, shipping options, and any special documentation needs.
Production and Release
Material is manufactured or prepared, tested as applicable, and released with the required product documentation.
Export Shipment
The shipment is prepared for international transport and coordinated with the selected carrier or freight arrangement.
IMPORT RESPONSIBILITIES
Know the requirements at destination
Import requirements vary by country and sometimes by material. Customers should confirm that they are permitted to import the material and identify any licenses, registrations, permits, or other local requirements that apply before shipment.
Unless otherwise stated in the quotation or terms of sale, the importer is responsible for destination country import clearance, duties, taxes, and compliance with local import requirements.
FREIGHT AND DELIVERY
Flexible shipping coordination
Shipping arrangements can vary depending on the material and destination. Lorad can coordinate shipment through appropriate carriers, or work with a customer's freight forwarder when that arrangement is suitable.
For regulated materials, carrier availability and transportation restrictions may affect the available shipping methods, transit time, and cost.
DISTRIBUTION PARTNERS
Regional representation for specialized markets
Lorad works directly with customers worldwide and may also establish distribution relationships where a knowledgeable local partner can provide meaningful technical and commercial support within its market.
Companies interested in representing Lorad should have experience selling specialty inorganic materials and a strong understanding of the technical markets they serve. Potential distribution relationships are evaluated individually.
