Products & specifications
Find a material and define what you need.
How do I find a material in the catalog?
Start with the product catalog. Search using a product name, formula, CAS number or catalog number. Use the chemistry, application and element filters to narrow the results. If a search returns no products, remove some filters or try another name for the material.
Link to this answerWhat if the material I need is not listed?
Send a technical inquiry with the composition, required quantity and intended use. Include any requirements for purity, particle size, physical form or testing. A missing catalog entry does not establish whether a material can be supplied. Lorad can review the request and discuss a possible custom synthesis or development project.
Link to this answerWhich specifications should I include in an inquiry?
Include the product name or catalog number, quantity and purity requirement. Where relevant, add limits for specific impurities, particle size distribution, phase composition, moisture, physical form and packaging. Identify which limits are essential and which are preferences.
If your specification depends on a particular test method, include that method and its acceptance criteria.
Link to this answerDoes a stated purity cover every impurity or material property?
A purity value alone does not describe every characteristic of a powder. Typically, purity values refer to the trace metals as established by ICP-OES or similar analysis. Purity does not, by itself, establish particle size, phase composition, moisture content, or a limit for every possible impurity. Tell us which elements or properties affect your process so the applicable specification and analytical basis can be confirmed in your quotation.
Link to this answerCan I request a different particle size, composition or physical form?
Use the technical inquiry form or the requirements box on the individual products pages to describe the change and the quantity needed. Include target values or ranges and explain how you intend to use the material. Availability, development work and testing depend on the specific request.

Prepare a complete request and follow up on an order.
What should I include when requesting a quotation?
Use Quick Quote and include the material, quantity, required specifications, delivery destination and requested delivery date. If the material is needed regularly, include the expected order frequency or annual volume. Add any documentation or packaging requirements that should be included in the offer.
The checklist below gives you a starting point you can copy into your inquiry.
Link to this answerWhat if I need a quantity or package size that is not shown?
Request a quotation for the total quantity you need and your preferred packaging. Identify whether this is a single purchase, a trial followed by larger orders, or an ongoing supply requirement. Do not assume that multiplying a listed package price establishes the price or availability of a larger order.
Link to this answerHow do I proceed after receiving a quotation?
Reply to the Lorad contact who issued the quotation and reference its number. Include your purchase order, if applicable, along with the billing and delivery details. Ask that contact to confirm any changes to quantity, specifications or requested delivery before you proceed.
Link to this answerHow can I confirm availability or delivery timing?
Ask for availability and the expected delivery schedule for your specific material and quantity. If you have a firm deadline, state the date and delivery destination in your inquiry. Manufacturing, testing, packaging and transportation can each affect the schedule.
Link to this answerHow do I ask about an existing order?
Use the contact form and select Existing Order, or email the Lorad contact handling your order. Include your company name, purchase order number, Lorad order or quotation reference, and the specific information you need.
Link to this answerWhere do I find payment instructions and commercial terms?
Refer to your quotation or invoice for payment instructions, or ask the Lorad contact handling your order. The website also provides the Terms of Quote and Terms of Sale. For questions about a particular transaction, reference the relevant quotation or order number.
Link to this answerDocuments & quality
Locate an SDS or request documentation for a specific material.
Where can I find a Safety Data Sheet?
Visit Safety Data Sheets or check the material’s product page. If you cannot find the document, use the contact form and select Documentation / SDS / CoA. Include the product name and catalog number, if known.
Link to this answerHow do I request a Certificate of Analysis (CoA)?
Contact Lorad with the product name, lot or batch number, and your order or purchase order reference. A Certificate of Analysis relates to a particular material lot, so a lot number helps us identify the correct documentation. If you need particular results reported, discuss those requirements before ordering.
Link to this answerCan I request regulatory or supplier documentation?
Start with the regulatory information page. For a specific request, identify the product, destination country, document required and any customer form that must be completed. Contact Lorad to confirm what documentation is available for your material.
Link to this answerWhat information should I provide about a product quality concern?
Contact the Lorad representative handling your order or use the contact form. Include the product name, lot number, purchase order reference and a description of the concern. If you have test results, identify the test method, sample preparation and the specification used for comparison. Photographs of labels or packaging can also help identify the shipment.
Link to this answerShipping & delivery
Provide the details needed to review a shipment.
What delivery information should I provide?
Include the destination country and postal code, the delivery address when available, and any receiving restrictions or requested arrival date. Tell us about special packaging or documentation requirements when requesting the quote so they can be reviewed with the material and quantity.
Link to this answerWhat should I include for an international shipment?
Review International Sales and provide the destination country, recipient information and any known import or documentation requirements. Shipping options depend on the material, quantity, packaging and destination. Ask Lorad to confirm the arrangements for your order.
Link to this answerHow do I report a damaged shipment or a discrepancy?
Contact Lorad promptly with your order reference, tracking information, product and lot numbers, and a description of the issue. Include photographs where available and identify whether the concern involves the packaging, quantity, labeling or material. Ask for instructions before arranging a return.
Link to this answerAnalysis & technical support
Describe your analytical question or development requirement.
Where do I request PSA, XRD or ICP OES analysis?
Use the service pages for PSA, XRD or ICP OES, then follow the analysis request link for that service. Identify the sample and the information you want to obtain. For ICP OES, include the elements you want measured. For PSA or XRD, describe the particle size or phase information you need.
Link to this answerWhat should I confirm before sending a sample?
Submit the analysis request first and describe the sample composition, physical form and any known handling considerations. Ask Lorad to confirm sample acceptance, the quantity required, packaging and delivery instructions before shipping. Include an SDS where available.
Link to this answerWhat if I am not sure which analysis I need?
Use Talk to a Scientist and explain the question you are trying to answer, the material involved and the decision the results will support. Include any existing data or specification. This gives us a better starting point than selecting a test solely by its name.
Link to this answerCan I discuss custom synthesis or process development?
Send a technical inquiry with your target composition, desired properties, initial quantity and anticipated production scale. Describe the current challenge and any methods or results already available. If confidentiality arrangements are needed, raise that before sending sensitive technical details.

Get help with forms, filters or finding the right contact.
Why am I seeing few or no products after filtering?
Active filters narrow the catalog results. Clear the filters and add them back gradually to see which selection changes the result. When asking Lorad about a search, copy the full catalog URL, including the text after the question mark, so we can see the selections you used.
Link to this answerWhat should I do if a form does not submit?
Check the required fields and any error message shown beside the form. If you still cannot submit it, call +1 (727) 826-5511 for assistance. Have the page URL, error message and browser name available. Avoid submitting duplicate requests if you have already received a confirmation.
Link to this answerHow do I report an incorrect link or website problem?
Use the contact form and select Other. Include the page URL, what you were trying to do and what happened. For a product listing issue, identify the catalog number or product name. If the contact form itself is not working, call +1 (727) 826-5511.
Link to this answerCan I contact Lorad without using a form?
Call +1 (727) 826-5511. If you already have an email conversation with a Lorad representative, you can reply directly to that conversation. Have your product, quotation or order reference available so we can assist you.
