Thermoelectric and Thermochromic
Lorad manufactures inorganic compounds used in thermoelectric and temperature responsive material systems. The portfolio includes established thermoelectric materials such as bismuth telluride, Bi2Te3, and bismuth selenide, Bi2Se3, along with antimony telluride and other telluride, selenide, and oxide compositions. Thermoelectric performance depends on a balance of electrical and thermal transport properties that can be highly sensitive to composition, stoichiometry, phase purity, and doping. Lorad supplies high purity starting powders and can develop custom compositions for thermoelectric research, device development, and specialized manufacturing applications.
