Pigments
Lorad manufactures specialty inorganic oxides used as ceramic pigments, colorants, and functional pigment materials. The portfolio includes cobalt chromite, cobalt chromate, calcium chromate, barium chromate, manganese dioxide, and other transition metal and mixed metal oxide compositions. In these systems, color is closely related to composition and crystalline phase, meaning that a chemically correct formula does not necessarily produce the desired pigment if synthesis conditions or phase development are poorly controlled. Lorad can manufacture established pigment compositions and develop custom oxide formulations where controlled chemistry, phase, and particle characteristics are required.
