Imaging Screen Phosphors

Lorad has manufactured a broad range of inorganic phosphor host materials and activated compositions for imaging and conversion screen applications. The portfolio includes europium activated calcium magnesium silicate, calcium thiogallate, gadolinium oxysulfide compositions, calcium sulfide, barium sulfide, barium lanthanum sulfide, and other oxide and sulfide phosphor systems. These materials convert incident radiation or excitation energy into visible emission, with the host lattice and activator chemistry determining much of the resulting optical response. Lorad can manufacture both established phosphor compositions and custom doped materials with controlled host composition, activator concentration, particle characteristics, and phase purity.
